Letitia Bridges, MD, has been appointed executive vice president and chief quality officer of the Permanente Federation, based in Oakland, Calif.
The Permanente Federation offers leadership and consulting to eight Permanente Medical Groups nationwide, comprising more than 25,000 physicians who provide care for 12.5 million patients and members.
In her new role, Dr. Bridges will oversee national quality programs across the care delivery network. She was also named co-chair of the Kaiser Permanente National Quality Committee, according to a May 22 news release.
Alongside her national duties, Dr. Bridges will continue to serve as regional medical director of quality and clinical analysis for the Southern California Permanente Medical Group.
She has held numerous leadership roles at Kaiser Permanente since joining the organization in 2008, including as area medical director and chief of staff at Woodland Hills (Calif.) Medical Center.
